I know a lot of us are looking at the New Year with some trepidation, but I'm sure there will be brights spots ahead in the middle of all the gloom. So let's start the year with one.
20th January 2023 sees the release date of the new single, 'Rise Up' the title track from the album that will hit the airways in the Spring. Once again it's designed to uplift the spirit and to get us all dancing through the darkness as the days lengthen. And you can check out the video now at www.higherlovers.com and also on YouTube via the following link: https://youtu.be/WGSwbBt_Vhg
The video was made at various times during the year, from summer, autumn and winter dog walks on Salisbury Plain to trips to London for gigs at the O2 and the Royal Albert Hall, gigs at the Cheese and Grain in Frome and during those warm summer evenings around the family fire pit. The shadow sections were from an evening at Bath Spa University making a backdrop film for Debdo Adventures so a big thank you to them for allowing use of the footage.
And as the year progresses, there will be much more to come, with a second album 'Alibis and Other Misdemeanours' in the final mixing and mastering stage and ready for release in the Autumn - and watch out for some killer singles from it as the summer hits its height.
And you can pre-order the single on Spotify and Apple Music via the following link.
I hope that 2023 brings some highs and that we all navigate the inevitable lows, with love and kindness to all.
Happy New Year. Now's the time to Rise Up.
